Does your website use the Reader or a custom solution?
Sites using the Mercury Reader module: If you are logged in to this kind of site, a news story or event page will usually have a gray "Flush this item from the cache" button at the top. Sites with custom solutions: If you are logged in to this kind of site, you probably have a content type for Events or News, and likely make custom copies of Mercury content on your local site.
